Overview
As a Forklift Operator, your role is vital in maintaining the smooth and safe movement of materials and products within our warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to move, stack, and arrange goods and materials
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments from trucks and storage units
- Perform regular inspections and upkeep of forklift machinery to ensure it operates correctly
- Follow all safety procedures to reduce hazards and avoid accidents
- Keep detailed records of inventory transfers and materials handled
- Coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors through clear communication
- Maintain a clean and organized work area that meets safety standards
- Comply with all company policies and operational procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Valid certification or license to operate forklifts
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar setting
- Proficient in handling forklift controls and various attachments
- Deep understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices
- Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Meticulous with good record-keeping and organizational skills
